Performance @ Face aux extractivismes (colloque)
A performance focused on the extraction of the orchid from its natural habitat and its incorporation into infrastructure, which have transformed it into a globalized commodity. The interweaving of archives, images, and narratives aims to highlight the capitalist and extractivist discipline imposed on a plant body, and to illustrate how a documentary approach to productivist infrastructures enables the development of an “ecology of attention” (Citton, 2014) capable of disrupting the market-driven perception of the world.
