Jean Daniélou is a sociologist. His research focuses on energy infrastructure and globalization. He has conducted fieldwork in the Philippines, China, Singapore, India, and the United States. Since 2024, he is an associated researcher at the Center for the Sociology of Innovation at Ecole des Mines.

His first book, Exiting the fossil world (Presses des Mines, 2024), is an insider account of a multinational energy company, describing the transformations it is undergoing as a result of global warming. His second book, Incorporated. Frictions, Residues, and Affects of Globalization (Premier Parallèle, 2025), explores the aberrant choreography of human and non-human bodies caught up in global production chains.

His investigative practice lies at the intersection of action research and creative research. He collaborates with artists and has held various positions within an energy company. In 2027, he will be an artist-in-residence at Villa Albertine in Texas, alongside musician Camille El Bacha.
